Rong Records’ in house engineer, Dylan Barr, has made music an important part of his life from an early age. Beginning classical piano lessons at age 5, he developed a solid understanding of music theory and a very good ear. He began playing bass and guitar in middle school, and later learned upright bass to play in his High School’s jazz band and jazz choir. While in high school Dylan began forming bands and learning to record his own material, leading him to attend Clackamas Community College to focus on Music Technology. After college, he started his own recording studio, Firefish Studios, and played in the Silverton based stomp-grass band, The Standing (formerly Dead Wood Standing). Dylan has an instinct for what makes music tick, and his experience in many aspects of the music making process makes him a valuable asset to any project.
